2009 World Champ Paul Biedermann Surges to 2nd In World in 200 Free

2009 World Champion Paul Biedermann is definitely in the middle of a career resurgence.  Tonight, Biedermann turned in a 1:45.45 in the men’s 200-meter free at the 2016 German Nationals to clinch an Olympic spot, but also jump to second in the world.

Only James Guy has been faster this year with a 1:45.19 from the British Championships.

Biedermann easily cleared the German Olympic selection time of 1:47.17.
