2016 CAA Championship Preview

By Cathleen Pruden, Swimming World College Intern

Beginning Wednesday, the Towson women will seek their fourth straight Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship. Last year, the William and Mary men ended UNC Wilmington’s 13 year streak. The Griffins will look to repeat the feat this season.

Towson is lead by seniors Jenna Van Camp, Hannah Snyder, and Charlotte Holz, who, among others, will look to end their collegiate careers having never lost the Conference Championship. Van Camp holds second seeds in both breaststroke events. Snyder is seeded in the top eight in the 400 IM and 1650. Holz is in scoring position in the 200 IM, both backstrokes, and the 100 and 200 freestyles, though she will need to scratch two of these events.
