2016 Olympic Games Day Two Expert Analysis

Prior to the second evening of finals at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio, Swimming World’s David Rieder and SwimVortex’s John Lohn again teamed up, as they did at U.S. Olympic Trials, to break down all the action thus far and look ahead to the four finals on tap for Sunday.

From the Main Press Center at Barra Olympic Park, Rieder and Lohn discussed Kosuke Hagino’s impressive victory over Chase Kalisz in the 400 IM and the Australians’ come-from-behind triumph over the United States in the women’s 400 free relay. They then explained why they think that none of Sunday’s three individual finals will be all that close.

They also looked ahead to the pending four-team showdown in the men’s 400 free relay and explained what Australia, France, Russia and the United States each need to do to take home gold.

Watch their entire analysis below, and check back for more insight from Rieder and Lohn throughout the week.
