This weekend’s Speedo Sectional action will also take place in Geneva, Ohio, where the meet will be conducted in long course meters. More swimmers will have a chance to earn Olympic Trials qualifying times beginning Thursday.
A number of events feature swimmers who already have Trials cuts. These swimmers could help others reach the standards. In the 200 backstroke Ohio State’s Halime Zeren and Fishers’ Lauryn Parrish have the Trials time, and could help the unattached Alexandra Santer or Riptide’s Kelly Leonard to the cut. Both swimmers are less than a second away from the 2:16.59 cut.
