5 Tips for Handling a Meltdown

“I’m hanging in there.” That is my go-to answer when anyone asks how I am feeling, how I am juggling everything going on, or how I am handling life. To me it means that I recognize that I am feeling overwhelmed and stressed, but I also recognize that I have the ability and strength to keep going.

Balancing life can be tough. There is a lot that goes on each and everyday. Assignments pile up and the task list grows rapidly. Free time seemingly ceases to exist. You just reach that point where you are using everything you have to hold it together. Hence, “I’m hanging in there.” Unleash meltdown.

I’m just kidding. You can’t have a meltdown! You’re in college; you’re practically an adult. Everyone else around you is doing completely fine. You can’t show your struggles. These are all lies. Go ahead, have a breakdown. Have two, why don’t you?!
