Amherst Defeats Williams In Mens NESCAC Match Up

The CSCAA‘s 22nd ranked Amherst College Jeffs narrowly defeated the 17th ranked Williams College Ephs Saturday afternoon in an intense NESCAC match up. The men competed in a 13 event format, swimming only the 200s of stroke.

Despite winning both relays, Williams lost the meet 124-113.

Williams got off to a quick start, as the team of Benjamin Lin, Jake Tamposi, Timothy Kostolansky, and Nels Snyder won the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:25.15. Amherst’s squad of Matt Heise, Elijah Spiro, Sam Spurrell, and Vic Sun swam a 3:27.99.

Amherst’s Connor Haley claimed the 1,000 in a time of 9:52.82. Williams’ Kenny Liu and Bobby Rowledge finished second and third (9:56.19 and 10:00.49).
