By Sarah Lloyd, Swimming World College Intern

It’s been a quick prelims session in Federal Way, WA where the 2016 Pac-12 Women’s Swimming Championship is underway for day two. It’s turning out to be a dogfight between No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 USC, and No. 6 California. The No. 14 Arizona women are also edging there way into the mix.

The top spot going into finals was claimed by USC’s Chelsea Chenault (4:39.32). The junior was the only swimmer under the 4:40 barrier, but the entire A heat for tonight clocked in under 4:45. Second seed went to Oregon State senior Sammy Harrison (4:42.74) and third seed was claimed by Arizona senior Bonnie Brandon (4:43.19).
