Chad le Clos Cameron van der Burgh Strong on Day 1 of South African Grand Prix

The talent and spectacular performances continued to impress during the Durban leg of the South African Swimming Grand Prix at the Kings Park Aquatics Centre today, Saturday, 6th February 2016.

There was no stopping Olympians Chad le Clos and Cameron van der Burgh as they both walked away with two gold medals during the first finals session today.

Van der Burgh grabbed the gold in the 50 and 200m breaststroke events in 27.74 and 2:16.31 respectively, while Jarred Crous managed a second place finish in the 50m in 28.17 and won the bronze in the 200m race in 2:17.83.

Le Clos’ fine form proved too good for the opposition in the 50 and 200m butterfly as he won both events in 24.64 and 1:56.42, respectively.
