At the USA Swimming banquet this past weekend in Atlanta, USA Swimming Executive Director Chuck Wielgus gave his annual “State of the Sport Report.”
In that speech, Wielgus discussed the impressive performances from the U.S. Olympic Trials and from the Olympic Games in Rio as well as USA Swimming’s current culture and plans for business and expansion in the next four years.
The speech includes a mention of USA Swimming’s satisfaction with the experience of hosting Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., and Wielgus discusses the possibility of returning there in 2020.
