Editorial Coverage provided by Suit-extractor-logo

Claire Adams broke her hand in practice this week, but will still compete this week at Olympic Trials. Adams, who won National titles last summer in both the 100 and 200 back, is seeded fourth in the 100 back and seventh in the 200 back.

Carmel Swm Club associate head coach Ian Murray told Swimming World what happened.

“Our team spent the past few weeks at altitude and the Olympic Training Center making our final preparations for Trials.  Unfortunately, Claire had a small training accident and fractured a bone in her right hand.  It required surgery, and we are very thankful and appreciative of the USA Swimming and OTC Staff for their quick and thorough assistance.
