Colleen Orwin Guides Kalamazoo to Hope Quad Meet Win

Hope, Kalamazoo, Lake Forest, and the CSCAA’s 10th ranked Wheaton (IL) women met in a quad meet Saturday afternoon. Colleen Orwin lead Kalamazoo to a first place finish. The Hornets finished the meet with 632 points, not far ahead of Hope’s 598. Wheaton finished the day in third (535) while Lake Forest was fourth (260).

The Kalamazoo women started the meet off with a win. The team of Christina Park, Ellen Neveux, Orwin, and Tristyn Edsall claimed the 400 medley relay in a swift 3:59.92. Hope’s Molly Meyer, Jorgie Watson, Betsy Craig, and Klare Norman were second (4:04.18) while Wheaton’s Meredith Clarkson, Erin Bagley, Sarah Coley, and Hannah Rueger touched third (4:08.34).

Orwin also touched first in the 200 IM and the 200 butterfly. In the 200 IM, the junior stopped the clock in a time of 2:11.95. She was followed by Bagley (2:15.57) and Meyer (2:18.71).
