Corey Okubo Leads Princeton To Ivy Title

No. 23 Princeton made its move when it counted. The Tigers pulled ahead of the Harvard Crimson on the final day of the Ivy Swimming and Diving Championship.

The evening finals started off well for the Tigers. Corey Okubo took the gold medal in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:43.07. Harvard’s Jack Manchester took second at 1:43.35, and Cornell’s Will Strange earned the bronze with a time of 1:43.50.

There was a tie for the championship in the 100-yard freestyle. Pennsylvania’s Eric Schultz and Princeton’s En-Wei Hu-Van Wright each touched in 43.19. Princeton’s Sandy Bole earned the bronze with a time of 43.58. The Tigers had four swimmers in the event’s A final.
