Danielle Galyer Shines In Kentucky Loss

It was a rivalry meet for the Kentucky Wildcats and they took on Louisville (No. 10 men, No. 10 women) at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, the Cardinals were too much to handle.

Louisville won the men’s meet 200-100 and the women’s meet 190-110.

The day started with the women’s 200-yard medley relay. The Cardinals took first and second in the race. Backstroker Alina Kendzior, breaststroker Andrea Cottrell, butterflier Kelsi Worrell and freestyle Andrea Kneppers posted a winning time of 1:39.10. Kentucky’s fastest team finished over five second behind the top Louisville squad.

The Cardinals also took the top two spots in the men’s relay. Backstroker Grigory Tarasevich, breaststroker Carlos Claverie, butterflier Josh Quallen and freestyler David Boland posted a winning time of 1:27.55.
