Dimond High School totaled 95 points to win the 2016 Alaska Girls High School Swimming State Championship. Kodiak High School won the boys title with a 105 point total.
Juneau Douglas High School bookended the meet with relay victories. Sarah Mertz, Mia Ruffin, Gabi Kito, and Andyn Mulgrew-Truitt posted a 1:51.75 in the 200 medley relay. Kito, Cameron Howard, Mulgrew-Truitt, and Ruffin combined for a 3:40.76 in the 400 freestyle relay.
Ruffin also won two individual events. She dominated the 200 IM in 2:06.38 and also posted a significant victory in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:05.82.
