The Pac-12 Women’s Championship resumed for the prelims session of day three this morning and the competition is as stiff as ever. Stanford teammate junior Lia Neal and  freshman Ella Eastin and California junior Farida Osman, among others, put up good showings. All three women are in good position to take a second individual title of the meet tonight at finals.
Ella Eastin cruised to an easy top seed this morning in the 400 IM with a time of 4:03.82. The time is almost three seconds off of her seed of 4:01.04, but she was still about five seconds ahead of California junior Celina Li, who qualified second with a time of 4:08.53, just four one-hundredths of her senior teammate Kelly Naze, who rounded out the top three with a 4:08.57. The entire top heat is seeded under 4:15 going into tonight. Stanford will have three in the top eight tonight, California two. Arizona State, Utah, and UCLA each have one.
