Egyptian National Teamer Marwan El Kamash to Transfer to Indiana University

Marwan El Kamash, a three-year swimmer at the University of South Carolina and Egyptian national teamer, has decided to transfer to Indiana University.

“I have been studying in the U.S. for three years at the University of South Carolina,” El Kamash told Swimming World. “My recent results have made me think about other options, and I, therefore, planned on giving swimming a little more focus. I decided to move to South Africa to train under coach Graham Hill and his squad. I have also decided to transfer and finish my senior year at Indiana University , be able to join their strong middle distance squad.”

El Kamash earned his Olympic cut for Egypt in the 200 free (1:47.73) and 400 free (3:48.51).  He clocked the 200 free at the 2015 Arena Pro Swim Series in Charlotte, and then turned in the 400 free time at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan.

El Kamash spoke with Swimming World following his 200 free in Charlotte last year.
