There are plenty of big names highlighting the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championship meet, which will take place in Federal Way, Washington on Dec. 3 through Dec. 5. Here are five swimmers to look out for this coming weekend.
Michael Phelps – It is hard not to look out for Phelps going into the weekend. With 22 Olympic medals, he is easily the most decorated swimmer on either the men’s or women’s side. The 30-year-old will represent North Baltimore Aquatic Club. He is seeded first in the 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter individual medley and 200-meter butterfly.
Missy Franklin – At age 20, Franklin has already become a face of USA Swimming. She represents the Colorado Stars and will compete in five events at the meet. She is seeded first in the 200-meter freestyle, 200-meter backstroke and 100-meter freestyle. She is also entered in the 100-meter backstroke and 50-meter freestyle.
Nathan Adrian – This weekend’s meet will be a homecoming for Adrian, a Seattle native. He will be swimming his signature events: The 50 and 100-meter freestyle. He set the American record in the 50-meter freestyle this past summer and is seeded first in the event. He is seeded third in the 100-meter freestyle. He will represent California Aquatics.
