A pair of world records fell back-to-back, including the longest standing one in the short course books, at the 2015 European Short Course Championships. Â Gregorio Paltrinieri (1500 free) and Katinka Hosszu (100 IM) both stunned the crowd with swift swims.
Italy’s Gregorio Paltrinieri smashed the World Record in the men’s 1500 freestyle. He touched with a time of 14:08.06, beating his teammate, Detti by 10 seconds.
Also, not long after taking gold in the final of the 200 backstroke (1:59.84), Katinka Hosszu broke her own world record in the 100 IM. She dropped 3 tenths off the old record to go 56.67.
