The morning starts with 11 heats of the men’s 50 freestyle. Florent Manaudou of France will hold the top seed. Tonight’s 100 bronze medalist Nathan Adrian will swim in lane four of heat 10, next to teammate Anthony Ervin.
The three medalists in the women’s 400 freestyle: Katie Ledecky, Jazz Carlin, and Leah Smith will swim alongside one another in the final heat of prelims of the women’s 800. New Zealand’s Lauren Boyle is the second seed and will swim in heat three.
