The second to last day of the 2016 Maria Lenk Trophy Open Championships continued with Henrique Rodrigues delivering the top prelims time in the 200 IM.
Larissa Oliveira, the former Brazilian record-holder, led the women’s 100 free prelims with a time of 54.53. That time stands as the second all-time fastest for Brazil. Despite being the first to the turn, Etiene Medeiros could not hold on to lead, finishing with a time of 54.67.
Posting third was Daynara Ferreira with a time of 55.02, while Manuella Lyrio was fourth with a 55.30. Joining them in the top eight will also be Luana Ribeiro (55.57), Gracielle Herrman (55.93), Daiene Dias (55.99), and China’s Liuyuxin Li (56.05).
