Italy Sweeps Final Stop Of 2016 FINAHOSA 10K MSWC

The seventh and final leg of the 2016 FINA/HOSA Marathon Swimming World Cup (MSWC) took place today in Hong Kong with Italy claiming victory on both the men’s and women’s sides.

Simone Ruffini of Italy posted the top time on the men’s side, finishing the 10K swim with a time of 2:10:15.80.

The USA’s Chip Peterson took second overall with a 2:10:29.10, while Germany’s Rob Muffels was third with a 2:10:29.30.

On the women’s side it was Italy’s Rachele Bruni who clinched the gold with a time of 2:17:12.70. The win marks the third gold medal for Bruni in the 2016 series as she took home gold at both the Balantonfured and Viedma stops.
