A weekend of great racing at the Speedo Sectionals Ithaca wrapped up tonight. Nation’s Capital won the women’s meet as 757Swim finished runner up. Eastern Express was victorious on the men’s side well ahead of second place Nation’s Capital.
The women from 757Swim were first to the wall in the 200 freestyle relay. Joelle Vereb, Sofia Long, Colby Hurt, and Abigail Larson touched in 1:35.66. Mount Lebanon’s Hannah Bumgarner, Alison Shapiro, Trinity Ward, and Angela Gyurina were right behind in 1:35.79. Third place went to the Golden Rams’ Rachel Hazard, Ann Carozza, Maura McManus, and Olivia Miller in 1:36.18
