After scratching the earlier events throughout the day at the FFN Golden Tour stop, Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu posted the fastest January 200-meter IM ever.
Hosszu, who cruised to four wins yesterday against some inferior competition, made the clock her primary foe in the 200 IM with a 2:08.20.
That swim smashed the previous record for a women’s 200-meter IM in January previously held by Ye Shiwen with a 2:09.67 at the 2013 BHP Aquatic Super Series.
In fact, Hosszu’s time is among the top 15 ever with Hosszu now owning 7 of the top 15 times all time, including her shocking world record of 2:06.12 from last summer.
