Kira Zubar Leads Missouri To Victory Over Drury

The Missouri Tigers (No. 13 men, No. 19 women) did not have trouble with Drury University, a Division-II powerhouse (No. 6 men, No. 3 women).

Though junior Michael Chadwick did not swim at the meet, the Tiger men won by a score of 143-97. The Missouri women downed the Panthers 185-56.

The day started off strong for the Tigers. In the women’s 200-yard medley relay, the team of backstroker Nadine Laemmler, breaststroker Abby Duncan, butterflier Maddie Gehrke and freestyler Iliana Jones posted a time of 1:42.09. The Tigers also took second in the race. Drury’s top relay touched in 1:47.47, over five seconds behind Missouri’s winning relay.

Missouri’s top relay team beat the Panthers by nearly two second in the men’s 200-yard medley relay, touching in 1:29.59. The winning team consisted of backstroker Dillon Love, breaststroker Fabian Schwingenschlogl, butterflier Andrew Sansoucie and freestyler Matthew Margritier.
