On the boy’s side, the highlight was surely Catholic High School senior Colin Bone, who won four events over the weekend. The senior completed a double in the 50 and 100 freestyle, setting state records in both events. Bone won the 50 freestyle in 20.60, more than a second ahead of his closest competitor Jack Johnson from Jesuit High School. Bone then came back to win the 100 freestyle in 44.71 by nearly two seconds over Hahnville senior Warren Massimini. With those wins, Bone ends his high school career with an unprecedented 16 for 16 wins over four years of competition at the State Championships.
