Mark Pinger Appointed General Manager Of Arena North America

Global water instinct brand arena has announced the appointment of Mark Pinger as General Manager of its North American subsidiary. Mr. Pinger brings extensive experience in the global sporting goods industry to arena, and his selection follows an intensive scouting and interview process.

“I am very pleased that Mark will be leading our way forward in North America,” said arena global CEO, Cristiano Portas. “In many ways he is an ideal fit for us, with his many years of experience in the sporting goods industry and his passion for swimming. I’m really looking forward to working with him, to getting him on to the starting blocks and diving into this new challenge for him and for us.”

Born in southern Germany near the French border, the 45-year- old Pinger represented his country as a swimmer in the 1990s, and won bronze medals in the 4×100 freestyle relay at both the 1992 (Split 48.80) and 1996 Olympic Games in Barcelona and Atlanta. He was also named German swimmer of the year in 1992.
