Max Yakubovich Leads Harvard To Day Two Lead

After day two of the Ivy Swimming and Diving Championships, Harvard has a slim lead. The Crimson have tallied 1018 points, just ahead of the Princeton Tigers (965.6 points). Pennsylvania rounds out the top three.

The day started with the 200-yard medley relay. The Harvard team took first place with a time of 1:25.57. The relay consisted of backstroker Steven Tan, breaststroker Shane McNamara, butterflier Max Yakubovich and freestyler Paul O’Hara. Princeton took the silver medal and Columbia was third.

In the 400-yard individual medley, Pennsylvania’s Mark Andrew touched first with a time of 3:43.53. Corey Okubo of Princeton earned a silver medal in 3:46.04 and his teammate, Samuel Smiddy, was third with a time of 3:46.73.
