Metropolitan Conference Championships Day One Begins

The Metropolitan Conference Championships began this morning at Rutgers University. The prelims of the men’s and women’s 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 400 medley relay were swam.

To start the meet off LIU Post had the fastest time of the morning in the women’s 200 free relay in the time of 1:33.94 and the team of Laura Benfeldt (24.10), Seren Jones (23.44), Joyce Kwok (23.19) and Meghan Brazier (23.21). Ramapo College of NJ came in second with a 1:38.51 and the team of Meghan Trewhella (25.12), Brenda Arthur (24.81), Sarah Stacey (25.24) and Maggie Herbert (23.34). The College of New Jersey came in third (1:39.04) with Allison Huber (24.94), Lauren Rothstein (24.57), Emily Rothstein (24.77) and Brenna Strollo (24.76).
