The Metropolitan Swim Conference Championships will begin at Rutgers University this Friday February 19th and conclude Sunday February 21st. This is one of the largest conferences and has D1, D2 and D3 teams participating. Last year the men’s College of New Jersey team won Championship title and Long island University-Post won the meet for the women.
While LIU Post has been the reigning champion the past couple of seasons, The University of Bridgeport looks to be some touch competition for the women’ only team. In the 200 free relay, Bridgeport is seeded with a 1:33.58 which is ahead of the METS’s record (1:33.69) held by LIU Post who is entered in a close second (1:33.83).
