Indie Swimming’s Michael Andrew continued to impress on Friday night. The 16-year-old competed at the 2015 Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships (West) in Austin, Texas.
On the third night of the meet, Andrew set two 15-16 National Age Group records. He set his first record of the night in the 100-yard butterfly.
Oddly enough, Andrew’s evening swim was the third time the 100-yard butterfly record fell on Friday. Andrew’s preliminary time of 46.34 broke his previous record of 46.36. Then, in Friday’s finals of the East Jr. National Championships, Camden Murphy lowered the record to 46.25.
