Michael Phelps told the media Sunday night that he is scratching the 200 free Monday morning. Phelps was the gold medalist in the event at the 2008 Olympic Games and remains the American record-holder in the event.
Phelps plans to make his Olympic Trials debut Tuesday in the 200 fly.
