Minnesota Leads Purdue and Northwestern in Big Ten TriMeet

Minnesota came to play in Evanston against conference rivals Northwestern and Purdue. The Gophers started and ended the day with relay wins with Zoe Avestruz, Rachel Munson, Danielle Nack and Lauren Votava winning the 200 medley relay (1:41.64) and Votava, Avestruz, Nack and Abigail Raatz winning the 400 free relay (3:20.23).

Minnesota also got a win from Sam Harding in the 1000 with a 9:48.97 over Purdue’s Kaersten Meitz (9:51.95). Sophomores Nack and Brooke Zeiger raced to wins in the 200 fly (1:59.21) and 200 IM (2:02.08) respectively.

Purdue had two wins on the day from the women with senior Allie Davis winning the 200 free (1:46.20) and fellow senior Emily Fogle winning the 100 breast (1:01.53).
