By Delaney Lanker, Swimming World College Intern

As the regular season comes to a close and the Championship season is upon us, there are some exciting races to watch this weekend. While 99% of the top 25 Division 2 teams are off this weekend, a few schools are looking to close their season with a bang.

For the Assumption, Bentley, Le Moyne, Pace, Saint Rose, Adelphi, St. Michael’s, Merrimack and Southern Connecticut teams, their season is coming to a close this weekend at the the Northeast 10 Conference Championships. The meet is being hosted by Assumption College at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Last year Assumption College took first place for the women and Southern Connecticut State University won for the men. Both teams are predicted to swim again this year. However, on the men’s side PACE University has a had a strong season and will put up some strong competition for the Owl’s and last year’s number two team, Bentley. On the women’s side, Assumption has had a strong season overall and is still on top of the charts with Bentley looking to be a close second.
