Nathaniel Carr had a successful second night at the Futures Championships in College Park, Maryland. Carr took first in the men’s 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.77. Daniel Cook touched the wall in 1:53.02 to take second, and Andrew Greenhalgh of Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club finished third with a 1:53.53.
Carr also competed in the 100 breaststroke, where he clocked a 1:04.47 to take second place, while Upper Dublin Aquatic Club’s Wyatt Amdor won the event in a 1:04.04.
Nation’s Capital dominated the women’s 200 freestyle. Claire Nguyen finished first with a 2:02.63. Her teammate Sinead Eksteen nabbed second in a 2:02.93, and Madeline Laporte–yet another Nation’s Capital swimmer–took third in a 2:03.17.
