Oakland Men Win 37th Conference Title and Women 22nd on the Final Day of Horizon Leagues

Oakland men win their 37th consecutive conference title and their women their 22nd. Oakland women sweep the 200 breast going 1,2,3,6. The Halverson brothers from Milwaukee go one two in their senior year 1650 as Brie Hines breaks the Horizon League record in the 1650.

Women’s 1650
Brie Hines from UIC broke the previous 1650 record in a time of 16:34.75, this is her second individual win of the meet and her second Horizon League record of the meet. Natalie Johnson from Milwaukee finished second in 16:53.83 and Krissy Harmon from Oakland finished in third at 17:01.46.

Men’s 1650
The Halverson brothers, both seniors from Milwaukee, finished first and second at their last college swim meet. Tim Halverson won in 15:43.03 and Nicholas Halverson finished second in 15:46.47. Tanner Alms from UIC finished third in 15:47.44.

Women’s 200 Back
Oakland’s Patricia Aschan won her third individual title by winning in a time of 1:58.74 while Oakland’s Hannah Burgess comes back from placing 7th in the women’s mile and getting second in 2:00.70. Viktoria Orosz from Youngstown State finishes in third at 2:00.90.
