Olympic Gold Medalist Ed Moses Qualifies For 4th Olympic Trials On Short Notice

Ed Moses, who won an Olympic gold medal as part of the 2000 Sydney Games men’s 400-meter medley relay, decided to qualify for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials on a lark this weekend.

Swimming during prelims in Irvine, Moses, 35, clocked a 1:03.35 in the men’s 100-meter breast.  That time cleared the 1:03.69 Trials cut, and qualified Moses for his fourth Olympic Trials.

As noted by Moses, he pulled off the time having had just two practices in the last four years
