Rie Kaneto Leads Strong Breaststroke Contingent At Doha World Cup Prelims

The final stop of the second cluster of the 2016 FINA/airweave World Cup Series kicked off today in Doha, Qatar.

Vlad Morozov continued to lead the men’s 100 free with a top qualifying time of 48.08 from prelims, while Chad le Clos returns as the second place seed with a 48.48.

Morozov added a top seed in the men’s 100 IM with a qualifying time of 54.92, while le Clos returns as the top seed in the 50 fly with a 23.38.

Katinka Hosszu turned in the top time in the women’s 200 free prelims, stopping the clock at a 2:02.20. Hosszu, who has experienced great success on the World Cup series, enters finals with 189 World Cup golds to her name and will look to make her way to 200.
