It was quite a day for Scottsdale Aquatic Club’s Ryan Hoffer.
The 17-year-old won the Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships (West) men’s 100-yard freestyle in record setting fashion. His time of 41.23 set a new meet record and a 17-18 National Age Group record. He broke Caeleb Dressel’s old National Age Group record of 41.90.
Erica Sullivan of Sandpipers of Nevada won the women’s 1650-yard freestyle with a meet record time of 16:02.32. Nitro Swimming’s Sean Grieshop won the men’s event in 14:45.88, also a meet record.
