SwimMAC’s Ryan Lochte dropped six seconds from his prelim swim to capture the men’s 400-meter IM at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Austin.
Lochte smoked the rest of the field with a top time of 4:12.66. Â That swim would have ranked him eighth in the world last year, and third among Americans behind Chase Kalisz (4:10.05) and Tyler Clary (4:11.71).
Kalisz, meanwhile, picked up silver tonight in a time of 4:14.64, while Josh Prenot placed third in 4:15.07. Â Prenot won the 200 breast last night, so this is his second podium paycheck.
