Substantial Time Drops Highlight Night One Of Stanford Future Championships

The first session of USA Swimming Futures took place at Stanford University this evening. The timed finals resulted in multiple winners and substantial time drops.

Ryan Falk of Tualatin Hills Swim Club dropped over seven seconds from her seed time to win the Women’s 800 Meter Freestyle in 8:52.57. Claire Schaef of the Tri-city Channel Cats clocked in five seconds later, earning her second place with a time of 8:58.24. Third place went to Stephanie Su of the Anaheim Aquatics Association who finished in 8:59.24.
