Tennessee Freestylers Make A Mark In SEC Prelim

The Tennessee women highlighted day five preliminaries with a strong showing in the 100-yard freestyle. The Volunteers placed four swimmers in the event’s A final. They currently trail first place Texas A&M by just 19 points.

Georgia’s Hali Flickinger continued her strong meet on Saturday’s preliminary races, posting the fastest time of the women’s 200-yard backstroke heats. The senior posted a time of 1:50.95. Kentucky’s Danielle Galyer touched second and Texas A&M’s Lisa Bratton posted the third fastest time of the morning.

In the men’s event, Auburn’s Joe Patching and Tennessee’s Sean Lehane tied for first with a time of 1:40.89. Missouri’s Carter Griffin touched third.
