The Texas men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams steamrolled the first day of preliminary action at the 2016 Big 12 Championships.

Texas’ Joanna Evans paced prelims with an NCAA B cut time of 4:42.88, while Kansas’ Chelsie Miller posted a 4:43.07 for the second seed. Â Texas’ Quinn Carrozza turned in a third-seeded 4:44.44.
