UIndy Sweeps MissouriSt Louis and Butler

The University of Indianapolis swim and dive teams took the win for their Senior Day meet Saturday. The number 9-ranked Greyhound men team bested Missouri-St. Louis, 190-37, while the women also came on top vs both UMSL and Butler, 175.5-37 and 175.5-10.5.

The UIndy men started the duel meet against USML strong with a win in the 200 free relay, by their ‘C’ team, Sebastian Konnaris, Sebastian, Sean Yeh, Joel Gintzler and Marius Bornkessel (1:35.25).

UMSL’s Tim Schmalzreich took the first place spot in the 1000 (9:53.39), while teammate Mladen Senicar took first in the 50 freestyle (22.04). UIndy took the top spot in the remaining events. It was a tight race to the finish for the Greyhound’s A (1:28.48) and C (1:28.31) 400 freestyle relays with the relay of Marius Bornkessel, Jacob Renie, Sebastian Konnaris, and Patrick Kays.
