UMBC’s Emily Escobedo made history on Saturday morning when she became the first swimmer from her school to ever qualify for a championship final at the NCAA championships. Afterwards, Escobedo spoke with Swimming World’s David Rieder to share her thoughts on making history for her school. She also spoke about how she handles being the sole representative from her school at NCAAs and how her teammates have supported her from back home.
