Coming off of her win in the 1650 free, a hoarse Leah Smith took a moment to speak with David Rieder about her win tonight, as well as Virginia’s 5th place finish. Smith discusses her strategy going out in the 1650, as well as her team’s disappointment with their finish. She also takes a minute to address the positives in having two top-five finishes in the last two years, and celebrates the end of teammate Courtney Bartholomew‘s career. Looking forward, Smith discusses her preparation for trials and her excitement to move forward.
