After her win in the 50 free at the 2016 Olympic Trials, Abbey Weitzeil took a few minutes to speak with Swimming World about her performances this week. Weitzeil explained how she has felt the last two days since she secured a spot on her first Olympic team and also explained why she was more satisfied with her 50 free time than her 100. She also discussed how Cate Campbell’s world record in the 100 free Saturday will motivate the entire American sprint squad going forward.
