Prior to the season, Florida head coach Gregg Troy said in a fan Q&A that it would take an 18.39 in the 50-yard free by Caeleb Dressel for him to shave his mustache. Â That’s exactly what happened in prelims of the 2016 Southeastern Conference championships.
Not only did Dressel post an 18.39 in prelims, he then lowered the American record with a stunning 18.23 in finals.
Today, Troy paid up on the bet and let Dressel do the honors.
