Wheaton RoseHulman Start Fast At CCIW Champs

After one day of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, the Wheaton women and Rose-Hulman men stand atop the team standings.

On the women’s side, Wheaton leads with 263 points. Carthage is in second. Rose-Hulman has 300 points on the men’s side, and Carthage is in second.

The evening started with the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay. The Wheaton team of Sarah Coley, Hannah Rueger, Sarah Oldach and Kirsty Nitz touched in 1:35.44 to win by over two seconds. Carthage won the men’s race by only three-hundredths of a second over Rose-Hulman. The team of James Weslaski, James Hasbrouck, Chris Russo and Lee Hollman touched first in 1:22.92.
