William and Mary Men and Women Each Win One Relay to Open CAA Action

The 200 medley and 800 freestyle relays began swimming action at the Colonial Athletic Association Conference Championships this evening.

Two relays were disqualified to start off the evening, leaving only five scoring teams in the 200 medley. William and Mary topped the podium by a narrow margin, stopping the clock at 1:40.43 to Northeastern’s 1:40.70. Sophie Rittenhouse, Annie Valls, Jessie Ustjanauskas, and Annie Miller were first to the wall for the Tribe while Christine Leong, Taylor Ellis, Sara Touchette-McGowan, and Carly Schnabel finished second. Towson’s Jacy Icard, Jenna Van Camp, Olivia Evans, and Caitlin Manthe touched third (1:41.51).
