Wingate Demolishes Womens 400 Medley Relay NCAA D2 Standard

In what was a close race in the women’s 400-yard medley relay at the 2016 NCAA Division II Championships, Wingate ultimately won in 3:37.80. The team of Viktoriya Arkhipova (54.12), Jessika Weiss (1:01.48), Armony Dumur (52.57), and Sofia Petrenko (49.63) crushed the previous DII record of 3:39.03 set by Queens last month.

Weiss and Dumur, who earlier won the 100 fly, were also on Wingate’s winning 200 free relay (1:31.80). Petrenko had a busy night, taking second in the 400 IM (4:14.40) and winning the 200 free B Final (1:49.26).

Queens’ Hannah Peiffer, Brittney Phelan, Patricia Castro Ortega, and Kyrie Dobson took second in 3:38.18. LIU Post’s Seren Jones, Caitlin Johnstone, Joyce Kwok, and Meghan Brazier finished third in 3:42.27.
